The Vancouver Metis Community Association is having their Annual General Meeting on on Monday November 24th at the main library from 5:30 to 7:00 downtown in the Peter Kaye Room.

We encourage members of the Metis community to attend this event. Our community is large but not very active or organized. Come and introduce yourself because we would love to meet you.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to meet other Metis people in the GVRD and find out how fabulous we are. It is also a golden opportunity for you to become an active member and to volunteer your time and

    • “ It was a productive meeting. The emphasize of the organization was about being involved in the community and being socially active. Being Metis is about supporting your community. It was nice to hear Elder Marshall talk about Metis spirituality. It was also nice to mingle with other Metis and catch up on what is happening. ”
    • “ Sadly we had a much lower turnout than usual, I hope this was due to the problems associated with the mail out. We are looking for more active members to become involved with the community (great to see young people attending the meeting and volunteering) ”
